The Myth of Dihydrogen Monoxide (and its REAL danger)

The Myth of Dihydrogen Monoxide
(and its REAL danger)

I saw these a while back and could not resist posting about it. We have to be informed about the truth and not moved by emotional propaganda. If you look at these (and not know what Dihydrogen Monoxide is) you might wonder what is wrong in our world. The truth is Dihydrogen Monoxide is H2O or otherwise known as WATER. Yet people post these and repost these things.

Know the truth about anything do not just be moved by what appears to be bad.

The true danger in Dihydrogen Monoxide is it shows how easily people can be fooled. The real danger is that there are people who will use these types of appeals (emotion over truth, fiction over fact) and do all the time (if you doubt that you have missed our current election cycle).

How do we fight this?

Remember Proverbs 18:13, 15 "If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame.," "An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge."

KNOW THE FACTS, before you respond to anything.

My Writing Pastor’s Manifesto

My Writing Pastor’s Manifesto

I am a Christian. I have a relationship with the God of the Universe and if that should falter or fail nothing else that follows will matter. As a Christian, I will share the story of Christ in word and deed so that others will imagine a better way to live and join God’s story. My strength comes from the Spirit of God and being grounded in Christian traditions.

I am a  pastor. I have been called by Jesus Christ to be his ambassador to the world and my ministry is not mine own. My ministry goal is to develop Christ-like disciples in the nation so the people of God may be equipped for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ”(Ephesians 4:12-13, NIV). Though I may not be please with the short term results or the places I may be sent, I will stay committed to God’s truth. I will count it a privilege to be part of God’s plan no matter the outcome.

I am a writer. All I write will be a reflection of my faith and my calling. The words I use, be they fact or fiction, are to carry the truths in the Word of God and filled with a spirit of love. If the words I write can not help someone to grow then they will need to be put aside. I will never write a story or teaching which will instill fear or doubt in the reader, no matter the possible monetary gain.

Since I am not in this alone, I need to share my life. My words, my skills and my life experiences are to be shared with others to help them grow. When I share my stories, my skills and my experiences my first priority will never be for personal gain. Gain in whatever form it comes is not to be frowned upon nor exalted, but appreciated and shared.

Since I am not in this alone, I willing accept help from others. I am more than an individual I am part of a family. I can only be made better by accepting help graciously from others. I will attempt to appreciated any advice I receive. As much as is possible and to the best of my knowledge any idea or words that are not my own will be given the proper credit. I will not steal another’s words or honor.

I will live and write so I can say as Saint Paul did, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished my race, I have keep the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day...” (2 Timothy 4:7-8).
