Seeking God's Kingdom

What does it mean to seek God's kingdom and righteousness?

Some focus on moral living as the answer.

Some focus on loving God (or a loving God)

Some focus on helping the less fortunate.

Some to a lesser extent focus on using the talents God has given them.

Some though few would confess to this means enjoying what blessing we have been given.

Others either don't care or have excuses.

Perhaps seeking is, to steal a line from Dr. Sues, perhaps seeking God's kingdom and righteousness is a little bit more.

Seeking God's kingdom is all of those things, well except the one about not caring. Seeking God's kingdom means we need to strive to live morally, to love God and people, to think about the less fortunate, and to use our talents to our best ability, and to enjoy our blessings.

As with many things, finding the right balance is the key and we need to focus more on finding our balance than pointing out the errors in others.

To be honest usually, if we are pointing out the errors in others it is because we are trying to puff ourselves up by putting them down, we want to ignore something they say. or we are excusing our behavior. Let's try something, focus on what God wants us to do, and let God deal with them.
