TCN's Biblical Journey November 14th

Tell City Nazarene Church's Biblical Journey
With Pastor Charles Areson
Today's reading is Romans 12-15

What I want to point out in Romans 12 is Paul calls us to think of ourselves sober minded or in a right mind. Though there is the obvious warning about not being high minded or proud, but there is also a sense that we shouldn't think too lowly of ourselves. This is born out when Paul goes on to talk about the body and each person doing what they can with what grace God has given them.

There is no idea that some people doing their best is just not going to hit the mark or somehow fall short. The idea is that we should think of ourselves as God thinks of us. We each have different giftings and different abilities and no one is more important than the other. We are all one body and we need each other. No part is more important than another if we are going to be whole in Christ.
